Tonight on Inquiry we have a down to earth and intimate conversation with life-long artist and poet ALAN KLEIN about his brother, the legendary photographer IRWIN KLEIN. Irwin Klein’s photographs documented the lives of the people of New York City, Minnesota and most dramatically of the communes of New Mexico in the late 1960s. His work was both very personal and deeply aesthetic. His career ended far too soon with his suicide at age 41. Today his amazing photography is only known to a few photography historians mainly thanks to the efforts of Alan to keep his work before the public. Irwin Klein has yet to be the subject of the major museum retrospective he so richly deserves. Tune in tonight and discover one of the great “lost” artists of our time.
