Inquiry: Tim Reid and Tom Dreesen: TIM AND TOM: AN AMERICAN COMEDY IN BLACK AND WHITE

TIM REID and TOM DREESEN teamed up in the 1960s to form the only bi-racial standup act, a comedy team that dealt with issues of race in a refreshingly funny and intelligent way. Eventually they split, though they have remained friends till this day. Tim Reid went on to star as “Venus Flytrap” on the legendary TV series WKRP IN CINNCINNATTI as well as directing and starring in FRANK’S PLACE. Today he is an actor, producer and director. TOM  DREESEN broke nationally on the Johnny Carson show and went on to be the lead-in act for Sammy Davis Junior and later Frank Sinatra, till Frank stopped singing. Tonight on Inquiry we talk with Tim and Tom about their days on the circuit and their lives after the act broke up. Their book is titled: TIM AND TOM: AN AMERICAN COMEDY IN BLACK AND WHITE.
