New Music Now Series
Guitarist/Composer Fred Frith brings his new band, Cosa Brava, to Boston for the first time. With long-time collaborator Zeena Parkins (Skeleton Crew, Björk) and new partners including violinist/vocalist Carla Kihlstedt (Tin Hat, Two Foot Yard) and drummer Matthias Bossi, the loquacious Frith carries on with his creative ventures that began with the famous art rock band Henry Cow and show no signs of letting up.
This experimental rock and improvisation quintet, formed earlier this year, marks Frith's return to "developing material through the push and pull of cooperative rehearsals." Fred Frith's Cosa Brava will perform two sets.
Reserved tickets are $25, $20 for members, students and seniors, and can be purchased at www.icaboston.org or by calling (617) 478-3103.
