JazzFest Falmouth 2014 - Grammy-nominated New Black Eagle Jazz Band

Cape and Islands jazz fans will have a chance to catch the New Black Eagle Jazz Band in full flight  including Falmouth's own Stan Vincent on trombone.

Celebrating their 43rd year, the band is the leading exponent of traditional jazz and blues born in New Orleans and made famous by Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington, as well as more contemporary artists such as Johnny Cash. It will be a night to remember.

Jazz Pianists and MacArthur Fellows Jason Moran and Vijay Iyer Lead Free Master Class

Jason Moran and Vijay Iyer - two exceptional jazz pianists/composers and MacArthur Fellows - join forces to present a master class for New England Conservatory students on Tuesday, September 30 at 4 p.m. Moran is on faculty at NEC and Iyer at Harvard.
