The First Annual Piano Day will take place on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Bezanson Recital Hall in the Music wing of the Fine Arts Center, on the UMass Amherst campus. Created by the Department of Music and Dance for junior/senior high school and college pianists, their parents and teachers, the Free event will enable participants to learn about college auditions and hear UMass Amherst faculty, students and alumni perform.
There's a national callout to the men and doctors of America to sign up for World Vasectomy Day! WVD is the largest male-oriented global family planning event ever, taking place on October 18, 2013. The goal is to have 1,000 vasectomies performed across 25 countries in 24 hours. Organizers are asking American men to join their brothers around the world to put their "man parts" on the line to help the planet and encourage vasectomy as a viable family planning option.

Arts on the Green - “Fun With Keyboards” kickoff event!
The Arts on the Green series in the heart of Shrewsbury launches the 2013-2014 season with eleven outstanding performers of central Massachusetts presenting a wide range of music showcasing the Steinway piano and two pipe organs of the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury at 19 Church Rd, Shrewsbury, MA. The concert will include not only solo works for the different keyboard instruments, but also the keyboard instruments in varying combinations, as well as with other instruments, including clarinet, trumpet and voice.
