Darlene Love

Date:
Monday, July 29, 2013 - 7:00pm
Program:

Possibly the most prolific singer of the 1960s, Phil Spector "discovered" her but Darlene Love's career is almost unreal. She's sung background for Elvis, Frank Sinatra & The Beach Boys, to name just a few. Her singing with The Blossoms became the standard for girl groups in the 60s and she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. Join host Tom Shaker as he celebrates the music of Darlene Love starting at 7pm!!

Date:
Sunday, August 4, 2013 - 9:00pm
Program:

Many of the smaller industrial cities of America are in serious decline due to the forces of de-industrialization, outsourcing, globalization and white flight. Many of these medium-sized urban areas like Detroit, Buffalo, Grand Rapids and Akron have suffered decades of neglect because most of the national attention and money has gone to the big urban centers. But can there be a future for these cities?
