The Vintage Vox Quartet

VINTAGE VOX is the newest hip jazz quartet comprised of Kathy Bonaccorsi on vocals, Darryl Patterson on piano, Kenny Palmieri on drums and Jerry Fanfarelli on guitar. The music they play is without question some of the finest ever written. The classics that have endured the test of time create an atmosphere that is smooth and sophisticated, one that is hot and cool throughout the night.

Sean Clapis has performed in Mexico, Spain, Cape Verde, Kuwait and extensively around the United States with numerous projects.  He returns for a third time at the Buttonwood Tree with venerable pianist and prolific educator Noah Baerman.

Jasmine Lovell-Smith’s Towering Poppies

Towering Poppies is a jazz quintet based in New York City that performs the music of New Zealand saxophonist/composer Jasmine Lovell-Smith (MA student in Composition at Wesleyan). Together, they create evocative and tuneful contemporary music that is carefully crafted yet spontaneous. Performing alongside soprano saxophone extraordinaire will be Russell Moore on trumpet, Cat Toren on piano, Patrick Reid on bass and Kate Pittman on drums.
