The Dinallos follow up their critically acclaimed 2021 eponymous release with their version of the late, great John Prine’s “The Speed of the Sound of Loneliness.” Michael Dinallo and Juliet Simmons Dinallo once again present their sonic vision of American Roots Music, which always borders on country-soul. Michael was the musical director for The Songs of John Prine Tour fall of 2021 and winter of 2022. Both “The Speed of the Sound of Loneliness” and The Dinallos are on Memphis International Records, which is owned by Johnny Phillips and Jeff Phillips. Johnny signed Michael to his first record deal in 1994. The duo has continued working together since that time; producing great music such as 2016’s Feel Like Going Home: The Songs of Charlie Rich, which Michael produced. And, now “The Speed of the Sound of Loneliness.”
