Peter Maresca – Gross Exaggerations

February 4, 2021

Milt Gross was a comic strip artist of the early decades of the 20th Century. His wild newspaper strips like “Nize Baby” and “Count Screwloose of Tooloose” epitomized the zany “ bigfoot era” of American comics. He was also a well-known author, animator, and in the end, became a serious painter. Tune in and learn about the man that made “Banana Oil” a catchphrase of an era when we talk with editor PETER MARESCA about his wonderful new book: GROSS EXAGGERATIONS: THE MESHUGA COMIC STRIPS OF MILT GROSS.
