Beavers are remarkable creatures. They build complex dams, they have remarkable teeth and tails, and their fur keeps them warm all winter. Yet many people think beavers are a nuisance to get rid of. But beavers are a “keystone species” and the wetlands they create are critical for numerous other species of wildlife, including salmon.
