Most of us only see meteorites as “shooting stars”. But over 10,000 tons of these extraterrestrial rocks fall to Earth every year. Some come from asteroids. Some even come from Mars. He is a cosmochemistry research scientist at the British Geological Survey in Nottingham. He will be talking about his new book METEORITES: HOW STONES FROM OUTER SPACE MADE OUR WORLD.
