Join us on October 16 for the second of three workshops sponsored by Mapping Poetry in Worcester, which will be led by Tony Brown, 2022 recipient of the Stanley Kunitz Medal for poetry. This workshop focuses on writing poems inspired by the dramatic changes happening in Worcester and will include resources, practical tips, a performance of Rain Poems, field research in the lively Canal District, and a chance to get feedback on your new poem. Perhaps you’ll decide to enter the finished product in the Poems in and out of Places contest!
We’ll meet at The White Room, a new arts and event space in the Crompton Building, located at 138 Green Street, from 2 to 5pm. The workshop is free, but spaces are limited. Please reserve your spot by submitting a request to poemsinandoutofplaces@worcestercountypoetry.org by October 12, 2022.
