They were a group of four radio actors and recording artists who put out nine wild “comedy” albums in the late 1960s and 1970s that have been described as “movies for the mind.” They were Firesign Theatre. Tonight on Inquiry we talk with JEREMY BRADDOCK. He teaches literature, media, and sound studies at Cornell University. We’ll be talking about his book FIRESIGN: THE ELECTROMAGNETIC HISTORY OF EVERYTHING AS TOLD ON NINE COMEDY ALBUMS.
