On this episode of Inquiry, we talk with poet JOSEPH LEARY about his new collection: ‘TIL THE WELL RUNS DRY.
Joseph Leary was born in Boston, grew up in Franklin, MA, and still lives there. He has written for pleasure all his life. He has published many articles and book chapters on dental implantology, a discipline he practiced as part of his profession. He started writing poetry in 2017. This is his first book of poetry.
His non-literary experience includes service as a Marine, an FBI agent, and a Periodontist, as well as a wide variety of less visible, but important tasks: floor washer, painter (of walls), mill worker, grocery clerk, chicken farmhand, etc.
With such varied life experiences, he comes with a rich source of material for his poetry. Themes of this work are wide-ranging and include humor, family relationships, self-knowledge, and the beauty of nature.
