He was born British, but emigrated to Australia and spent 18 years working in Hong Kong. He currently lives in Canberra, Australia. He has written a birding book like no other. While it certainly tells the stories of some of his great adventures in the field, it also asks what it means to be a birder today: BIRDING IN AN AGE OF EXTINCTIONS.
