Join us for “TROPICAL PHOTOGRAMS”: Scenes from Life and Music by Mafalda Minnozzi featuring Paul Ricci.
A singer of international stature, Mafalda Minnozzi has performed over 1,000 concerts on three continents, recorded 18 CDs and produced two DVDs in a remarkable 35-year career spanning from Italy to Brazil to the USA.
With guitarist Paul Ricci, she’ll review scenes and songs from her life through the composers who have accompanied and inspired her. Mafalda has collaborated with Milton Nascimento, Leny Andrade, Dave Liebman and many others in the jazz and Brazilian world while Ricci’s time as guitarist, arranger for Astrud Gilberto and Bebel Gilberto give this duo a firm groundwork to impart their unique sound to classics from Brazil, Italy, France and the USA.
Minnozzi’s “SENSORIAL – Portraits in Bossa & Jazz” CD can be found on WBGO, KUVO and WICN radio, along with other major jazz networks around the country.
