November 6 – Sarah McKenzie Quartet, Berklee College of Music
Sarah McKenzie is an exceptional talent who, at only 25, has been
recognized for vocals and piano, and as a composer. She has
sung back-up for Michael Buble and opened for Chris Botti. Known
on the global jazz circuit, her “Close Your Eyes” album won ARIA
Best Jazz Album Australia last year.

November 13 – Laszlo Gardony Quintet, ft. saxophonists Don Braden & Bill Pierce
Gardony’s soulful piano is marked with probing intellect and keen
emotional sensitivity. Having toured in 24 countries and recorded
ten CDs, he is “one of contemporary music’s truly original voices.”
Saxophone icons Bill Pierce and Don Braden join Laszlo’s tight quartet.

November 20 – Giacomo Gates, Jazz vocals with Mac Chrupcala, piano and Dave Zinno, bass
Vocalist Giacomo Gates is a master of be-bop and straight ahead
ballads using his rich, true, and musical baritone. He will be singing
music of the Great American Songbook and from his new
release, “Miles Tones.” Pianist Mac Chrupcala and bass player
Dave Zinno join Gates.

December 4 – New England Conservatory Symphonic Winds & Choir – Holiday Concert!
Taking up our call for a holiday concert our Brown Bag audience
will remember, the NEC has stepped in with Symphonic Winds
and Concert Choir. Conducted by William Drury, NEC Symphonic
Winds and the Concert Choir has a broad repertoire that will surely
put us all in the holiday spirit!
