A cross between a jazz club and a coffee house, Club 321 is a new venue in downtown Worcester for live music of the eclectic kind! Singer-songwriters, folk, jazz, world music, blues, and more will be featured throughout the season! Club 321 also shines a light on emerging artists and rising stars. Light refreshments and a cash bar are served at cabaret-style tables… a monthly schedule on Thursday nights in the Mechanics Hall second floor Washburn Hall at 321 Main Street, walking distance from everywhere downtown!
Mechanics Hall and WICN have partnered with the Hall’s Modern Mechanics Guild to present contemporary sounds for adult audiences. Tickets are $20 in advance and purchased through www.mechanicshall.org or $25 at the door.
Nellie McKay’s music has been heard on Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Weeds, Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, Nurse Jackie, and SMILF. She has appeared on TV shows including The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, Ferguson, and The View. Nellie has made numerous radio appearances on NPR’s Mountain Stage, A Prairie Home Companion, eTown, and Marion McPartland’s Piano Jazz. The Chase Brock Experience produced a ballet of her third album, Obligatory Villagers, and she contributed the forward to the 20th-anniversary edition of The Sexual Politics of Meat. Her writing has also appeared in The Onion, Interview, and The New York Times Book Review.
